In this live webinar presentation, Catherine Coomer (Principal Officer Rental Market, Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage), will explain the proposed changes to the private rental market. These changes are expected to commence in March 2026 and will significantly enhance the rights of tenants and reduce the rights of property owners. These proposed changes will restrict property owners’ ability to sell with vacant possession. New tenancies that commence after the 1^st March next year will be allowed to charge market rent in certain circumstances. It is essential to your business that you understand these changes.
