Representatives from the IPOA attended a Oireachtas Committee session yesterday to discuss difficulties landlords face in the rental market. Chair Mary Conway, committee member Maurice Deverell, and information officer Margaret McCormick presented the landlord’s perspective, advocating for our members.
They outlined the impact of the proposed restrictions on landlords looking to sell their properties, complications from the expansion of rent pressure zones being compounded by the introduction of indefinite tenancies, and the designation of landlords into large and small categories.
You can find a copy of the opening address and a recording of the session in our Members’ Area.
