Back To Business

By now we hope that you are back up and running and managing within the Covid-19 restrictions and new way of life.Help For Landlords

It has been a tough number of months, IPOA – like many associations have had to make changes to the way we operate. We remained positive during the pandemic and continue to do so, our priority being support for our members whilst ensuring the health and safety of staff and members.

  • Our Office, albeit remotely, has operated usual working hours, we hope that members were comforted knowing that we were always on the end of the phone or an email away!
  • Our engagements with the RTB, Department and other stakeholders have continued in the background, as we seek clarifications and full understanding of yet more changes to legislation imposed on Landlords.
  • Our lobbying and representation of our members stands top of our Agenda, our Information Officer, Margaret McCormick making multiple media contributions on your behalf.

As you will be aware, due to the pandemic IPOA had to postpone many of our planned activities nationwide; our CPD events, Residential Landlord Course and an Annual Seminar planned for May were disappointingly all shelved.

During this period, we increased our efforts to communicate with members through our website, LinkedIn, emails, and phone lines.

One-On-One Clinic

We also delivered a ‘one-on-one’ member Clinic in Cork on the 9th September – the first opportunity for us to meet physically since the pandemic and restrictions came into force.

The Clinic was very well received. We would like to thank all those who attended for adhering to the additional health and safety measures put in place. This was a great tester for us and successful in demonstrating our ability to physically meet members complying with Covid-19 restrictions.

Back On The Road!

In line with Government advice we keen to reignite in-house meetings and training sessions nationwide, although our meetings remain postponed for the foreseeable.

Subject to Government Advice – Our physical event in Limerick Meeting on the 24th September has been postponed, we will work within restrictions and in due course we will return to Limerick in person.

As it stands now our Residential Landlord Course will commence cork on the 3rd of October in the Clayton Springs, 2 – places are still remaining – contact sclancy@ipoa.ie should you be interested in attending.  We are looking forward to discussing the most recent changes to legislation and potential issues which arise from same which has serious consequences for Property Owners. We will be in touch with attendees immediately should this change.

We are excited to soon launch some of our Information Updates through Video and online platforms. Keep an eye out for these!

Finally, we would like to thank all members for your patience as we navigate through the restrictions and changes imposed on our business. We look forward to hopefully seeing you soon and wish you good health as we work through the pandemic.

For the foreseeable all IPOA events will have a strict capacity limit – therefore booking is essential. Booking can be made to sclancy@ipoa.ie or info@ipoa.ie
