What Are The Notice Periods For Ending A Tenancy?

Landlords be aware that there are  minimum notice periods set out in the Residential Tenancies Act.  This means that as a Landlord you are required to give a minimum amount of days notice when terminating a tenancy, the notice period is linked to how long the tenants have been in the property. Important – New Timelines For Notice Periods

The Residential Tenancies Amendment legislation was signed into law by the President. Parts of it are scheduled to be commenced on the 4th June 2019. From the 4th June notices of termination served will have to abide by the new timelines, and notices may require technical amendment. Notices served before the 4th June will not require the new timeline and the existing templates may be used.
