RTB Late Annual Registration Fees

August 2022 Following lengthy discussions and meetings with the RTB – particularly concerning the late registration penalty fee, IPOA are pleased to outline that RTB have devised the below solution to penalties. Overholding & RTB Registration?

July 2022 Question My tenant is overholding,  a determination order is in place confirming that the notice of termination is valid. We are in a situation now where we may need to apply for enforcement proceedings. The RTB registration for the property is just out – Is there a requirement for us to complete a new annual registration in this case? July 2022 Amendments have been introduced from  6th July 2022 to the Residential Tenancies Act which change procedures and some timelines. Key changes include: Notice periods landlords are required to provide tenants when ending a tenancy have increased in some cases. Changes to Notice Periods, Which Will Come Into Effect Shortly.

July 2022   Legislative changes to extend the required termination notice period that tenants must receive (where there has been no breach of tenant obligations) have been passed by both Houses of the Oireachtas. The amendments were made to the Regulation of Providers of Building Works and Miscellaneous Provisions Bill 2022 which will now be sent to the President for early signature.
